While We Wait: An Advent Experience

Advent means arrival. God’s people have always been waiting on God to arrive. 

Israel waited on the arrival of Messiah and Jesus completed that season of waiting with his arrival in Bethlehem.  The church waits on the arrival of our King and one day soon Jesus will complete that season of waiting with his arrival in the clouds.

During the 4 weeks of Advent, we will wait on Jesus’ arrival. The remembrance of his arrival at Christmas as a baby and the anticipation of his arrival soon as king.

Wednesday Nights at 6:30 pm

As part of this season we are planning some special Wednesday nights. The first three Wednesdays, all ages will meet in the Atrium for a short time of worship.  This will be followed by a hands on activity to reinforce the week’s theme. Then we’ll finish with desserts and fellowship in the FLC.  The last Wednesday will be our traditional Christmas Eve Service at 2pm.

Starting December 1, there is a scripture, thought and prayer for each day that you can pray at home individually or with your family.
